Context

Started out as a writer and producer in the UK music scene. Turned a creative practice into a real business, licensing original music to broadcasters and labels, before pivoting into tech.

Challenge

Take an entirely creative craft and turn it into a repeatable revenue engine: pricing, partnerships, rights management, and the discipline of running a small business.

Approach

  1. 01Built a music publishing and production business from zero to £1M ARR.
  2. 02Licensed original work to Sony, EMI, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and Faber Music.
  3. 03Negotiated publishing and sync deals; managed rights, royalties and creative pipeline.
  4. 04Built a brand and partnership network across UK broadcasters and labels.

In retrospect

"This is where I learned how to grow revenue through creativity, partnerships and brand storytelling, the same instincts I now bring to operating models and product."
